Our Visual Genes

habilis-195x300For hundreds of thousands of years the first primates saw their reflection in still waters each time they drank from the still waters. This combined with their awareness of mortality, maternal care and breast feeding contributed to our brain development for survival of the fittest. Given the genes created for our visual prowess we are also prone to excitement and compulsion. It’s no wonder society fumbles with fashion as a form of idolatry and superficial change spending countless millions monthly. This is mostly money changing between the wealthy of the world. This economically produces havoc with GDP. Ultimately with retail quality, service and consumers are the victims.

Our visual ability still can be an asset to our mental health as we use the mirror to exercise an internal voice that sees beyond and connects sub consciously. This is well known as dynamic self-talk. This is used for performance and long term accomplishment, much like hypnosis. Without this internal reflection we are static with sub-optimized performance rather than dynamic individuals. As a species we have the capability to be designers of our own future. This self-talk promotes bi- hemispherical interaction for powerful brain use much as is researched with women’s genetics. Research also shows not much change in their DNA from over 47,000 years ago, with men still showing much room for change or adaptability. This could mean an opportunity for nurturing human evolution with simple acts of personal change towards smarter habits for our own happiness as a part of success.

New Economies and Values – The Neo-renaissance

One must consider that a good proportion of ready- made tailoring that is imported is totally unnecessary and wasted and part of the problem for which tailoring-design quality is the personal and national solution. I know a new economy is growing from the web and will be in particular for education. The economy as a necessity is being the mother of invention that will alleviate some societal stresses. Much of this evolves increasing detriment of individuality, self-esteem and lack of opportunity around many countries. This will further spurn this existing movement of on-line search for international brands but locally serviced.

As encouragement to change and building new professions, there will be huge civic infrastructure job creation programs, creating enormous cash flows. Along with new unbelievable high tech forms of “clean energy from coal”, clean efficient transportation will be invested via these public highway tolls. This will all support trickle-down economics to small business and disposable income often which business clothing is a primary choice.

On-line searches for products with service will have accompanying endorsements can qualify and attract business relationships efficiently. Much as the printing press helped create the renaissance for creative societal change, the web and mobile will do the same for best choice of crafts and services. The advent of the complete designer wardrobe package will prevail as a form of personal branding vehicle. This will encourage the attainment of skills for tailoring-design as a career.

Machines have come a long way, but not the service.

The cost of branding oneself with a designer wardrobe package is about equivalent to or less than, monthly auto budget, which is currently the backbone of GDP. Consequently one could choose between a status car and dress poorly or a practical (electric) car and a more personal acquisition of a designer wardrobe. Certainly the status cars are a dime a dozen, many driven with poorly fitting suits. Therefore, the advent of trained on-line troops of tailoring designers supplying these gentrified new values en mass should jumpstart an upturn in GDP. Train 20 designers to train 20 more per year? Do the math!

This neo-renaissance scenario of gentrification of our images could mirror the Enlightenment era of the 1700’s. There tailored formality became more prevalent as it was less decorated and ostentatious than the previous era and hence more attention available to wardrobe size, good tailoring and cloth style. This is very much like tailoring-design, subtle classic value, very much dressing not for respect but “to “ respect. The result of that relaxation of formality in the 1700 helped merge factions of hi end culture with the growing middle class, something that is of dire importance in major countries today.

The auto industry is out of control as an economy, this is documented since the “Who Killed the Electric Car” film. So as a replacement of values, the wardrobe package is of worthy eligibility as a vehicle to “go places” with the benefits of being prepared, competent and unapologetic. Supporting and prompting this new economy and is as simple as popularizing a web site that documents “World class Tailoring Standards of Fit” for the purposes of masculine pride and entitlement.
